What a horrible experience, Jay. And you know what is even more horrible? That even as I write this to you, thousands of perfectly smart and good people are being scammed as well.

We assume we will be able to spot a scam. What we forget is that scammers, after they leave their souls at the door, enter a room in which their ruthless and sociopathic arrogance gives them an instinct for how to lead a trusting person to a black and remorseless hole. I am so glad your son intervened when he did. The bonds that hold you to those who love you and whom love held true! Thank you for sharing this, Jay. It must have been hard to do so, but by sharing your tough experience you have probably spared many, many good people from making the same mistake.👍🌹
