We could watch cartoons on Saturday morning, but by 10 am our mother would shut it off and tell us to go outside and”Get some fresh air” as if fresh air were a commodity you could purchase and carry home in a shopping bag! But you know what? I am grateful she said this because now at age 70 , I can attest there is nothing as reviving as going out to “get” some fresh air!
