Watching a cat stretch
imagine a rubber band
too supple to snap.

I love watching my cats run, play, and curl up to sleep. But they never amaze me more than when they elongate their flexible spines to stretch every supple sinew. Ahhh! Watching them, I feel almost as good as if I too had stretched my body to its furthest limit, then felt each cell slide gracefully into place again.
