At the breast of their mothers, all cats learn the following lessons. Perhaps as humans we can incorporate some of these wise beliefs into our own lives as well?

Allow yourself to be petted sometimes. You will both enjoy it.

The sound of a can opener is a lovely thing, especially when it is unexpected.

Believe in your own beauty and others will too.

A cardboard box is as good as a velvet cushion, so long as you are the one who does the choosing.

Never show embarrassment. Groom yourself instead.

Sometimes a red dot is just a red dot. But you can’t really know this, unless you chase it.

A big, round soft lap is preferable to a bony, skinny one for kneading and napping. Therefore, never encourage dieting.

Purring is a powerful tool. Use it wisely.

Every sound or sudden movement, no matter how slight, is worth investigating.

A long, s-l-o-w stretch is as good as a rest.

No one owns you, but you can choose to love someone and let yourself be loved.
