My thinking is the same. Just became a Friend of Medium too👍

My thinking is that — even if the net financial rewards are not all that great — putting extra cash into the Medium piggy bank can’t be a bad thing if it means that more members will get rewarded and thus be encouraged to write and read more. If that is the net result, we all benefit, surely.
