I enjoyed your essay very much. I think any poet, whether experienced or a novice, will benefit from the insights you present. I like the idea of reading the poems of the masters. So many people want to write poetry without reading it as well! That’s like thinking we can be good conversationalists without ever having talked to or listened to anybody else.
