I don’t think the powers that be at Medium have any intention of changing back to the pro writers support system originally followed when Medium first began so vibrantly some years ago. I have seen my earning shrink so low as to literally be a handful of change, and that is extremely discouraging. I choose to stay, for a while, because I have not been up to doing any real exploration of viable alternatives; and because I do enjoy interacting with the dozen or so writers here who still take the trouble to read and react to my work. And I take pleasure in reading and reacting to their work as well. I just hope I am not a victim of “Stockholm Syndrome” after all these years!
