…, preferably. It is hard to walk on the hiking trails in Maine right now as they are covered in ice, but even a drive and maybe stepping outside the car and walking a little are better than staying in the house.

I agree. Even on the coldest winter days the car will seem warm and cozy as you drive to a pretty view. I try to step out of the car for just a few moments, if only to better enjoy the warmth of the car again!
