Hi, Tom. Yes, I do remember being quite smitten with those high school varsity players in their sweaters and jackets. I'm sure you got some good responses when you walked by in yours!

I do like the fact that the female birds seem to be in charge of the mating game, and therefore don't go out of their way to primp very much, unlike many female humanswho still worry endlessly about their weight, their clothes, their increasing wrinkles, etc.

I am really glad you enjoyed this piece about the intelligence of birds, especially in their interactions with each other. Thanks for keeping in touch!
