Hi, Dan. Each publication has different ways of submitting. With most you have request to be added to their list of writers.

This is my suggestion: go to the Weeds and Wildflowers(W&W)page and then select submissions: highlight a sentence in the article about submissions. That will give you an opportunity to respond directly to the writer of the submissions guidelines, who is named Dennett.

In your response simply state that you enjoy the website and would like to write for it. She should respond back fairly soon and add you to the list of writers for that publication.

When you are ready to submit your next article, instead of hitting publish, look to see what publications list you as a writer. Then send your article AS A DRAFT to W and W. They usually publish articles pretty quickly.

I probably haven’t done a good job of clearly explaining the process. It does have a few steps. If you search help on Medium you might find they explain it better.
