Yes, sitting and watching the winter birds is such a rewarding past time. I am glad your dad had a bird guide. I use mine all the time.

Birds are always fun to watch, but especially in winter when so little seems to be going on outside. Of course, there really is a lot happening, since not all animals hibernate, but to our human eyes, things can look a little dull and bleak on cold winter days. But the birds keep our spirits up!
